Day 30

My mom never lets me take pictures of her... she thinks she always looks awful. But sadly she has cancer and a bad kind at that so I was thinking the other day I don't have many pictures with her and Marcus yet Marcus sees her the most out of anyone besides me and my husband. So I'm going to start taking pictures of her and him whether she likes it or not.

Someone needs to dust. Sad thing is she has a cleaning lady, who I've used before and my one complaint is she doesn't dust well at all...obviously.

Day 28 & 29

I was running out of time and didn't want to take a picture so I took a picture of my coke lol

It's pretty sad my 13 month old knows what to do with a phone. It's so cute he puts it up to his ear backwards says hello and then talks jibberish.

Day 27

Today I haven't taken my picture yet...so I'm still a day behind on blogging. I'll take it before bed and post tomorrow. Not sure what to take a picture of yet but I'll figure something out.

Day 24 - 25 - 26

Been really bad with blogging. I'm on here quickly to update. These are all SOOC and I didn't even watermark. I'll probably end up replacing the photos with at least a watermarked version.

Day 22 & 23

Day 22

It was a really pretty day out so Marcus and I ran some errands, we were going to go for a walk but the stroller is at my moms :( So we went up stairs so I can try and finish unpacking and sorting Marcus' room.



Haha Marcus tries to help when really he just gets his clothes mixed up in the bins so then I have to re-sort them. We gave up after 10 mins of me just trying to fix what he was messing up. So Cute he tries to help though.

Day 23
My husband has been working alot lately so Marcus has hardly seen him, he really misses his daddy.


My failed attempted photoshoot...I bought this little dancing valentines day guy that I thought would distract Marcus and have him hold still. well it did do that but all I got was a deer in headlights look



So then I thought maybe if I give him my lens cap to play with.


That didn't work since he now tries to put the lens cap back on..."here mommy you forgot your lens cap"



colors are a little off but none of them are keepers so I just edited them only to post on the blog.

Day 21

Day 19 & 20

Day 19... Wasn't really in the mood to take photos but I snapped a shot of my 15 year old diabetic cat. She rarely plays anymore and she was in a playful mood which was cute.



Day 20... Got home with enough time for Marcus' dinner, bath, then bedtime. :( I hate when I work long days. But I have to make up for the time I lost the beginning of the week.

The paper mama photo challenge!

I've decided to start to enter some photo challenges... even though my pictures aren't 1/2 as good as a lot of these ladies I figure maybe someday I'll win one. Then I'll know I've improved...lol

This weeks challenge is a different view. I figured I'd enter since I was just trying this out.

Day 17 & 18

My husband has today off so Marcus is sleeping on his lap while I catch up on my blog. I didn't want to get too far behind. I apologize in advance for so many food pictures but all Marcus wants to do is eat, be held, or sleep on me. So the only chance I got for pictures is when he was in his high chair.

Somehow Marcus managed to flip his pasta bowl and land some noodles on his head, oh and sauce all over the kitchen cabinets and wall. lol I tried to stop it but when I couldn't I grabbed my camera, of course.

Update on Me

I had planned to blog every day however the night I posted about him having a high fever... he ended up waking up and having a seizure. It was the scariest moment in my life. He's still having a high fever. I posted the full details about the whole ordeal in my personal blog. I just wanted to make note of why I might fall behind a little on my blog. I am still taking a picture a day I'll just have to come post them all once things settle down.

Day 16

Another place holder... I feel bad for being such a bad blogger recently. Tonight I have a good excuse though. Marcus has a really high fever, I've called the doctors twice today. They gave me an appointment for tomorrow but I'm really worried about him so I'm going to have him sleep with me so I can monitor his breathing...it seems really rapid to me.

I took pictures of my friends 9 month old baby girl today. I had Marcus test out the back drop location. I didn't notice until afterward but there was a window directly behind me a ways that made some pictures look like there were pin lights :( oh well that's why I'm skill building. Need to find a new backdrop location. Not really liking the lack of natural light I got setting it up where I did. My old house I had a perfect set up area, just have to find the perfect set up area at the new house.

Day 15!

Hummingbird at my moms house. I only had my Tamron lens with me so I couldn't get up too close. I did sneak pretty close to him though before he took off.

Day 13 & 14

I've been really busy the last few days with working late that I haven't really had a chance to take any pictures of Marcus. I could take more food/bath pictures but I've already done a ton of those.

This weekend I'm taking pictures of my friends little girl Chloe so I'll have something more interesting to share and of course I'll have more time to take picture of my handsome little man.

Day 13
Not much thought with this picture,really it was late and I needed to find something to take a picture of.



Day 14
Really not in the mood to take a picture today but I bought these cute stuffed roses as a valentines day photo shoot prop so I thought I'd take a picture of it.

Day 12

Pretty boring day. I worked all day then had an orthodontist appt. Got home just in time to feed Marcus dinner, give him a bath, and tuck him in. So I tried to get some pictures of the cats. They weren't very cooperative but here is on that I managed that's blog worthy I suppose.

Day 11

Marcus threw up again today?!? It's usually after a coughing spell, he seems fine otherwise. He's going to the doctors next Tuesday.

It was a very stressful day for me at work and then when I got home Marcus was extremely clingy, so I only took a few snapshots.



A picture of yummy cookies! I really need to start working on eating better and eat less sweets, not for weight loss reasons, but to just be healthier.

Day 10!

Today our local college Team the Oregon Ducks are playing the BCS national championship game. It's a huge deal around here. There is green & yellow everywhere. haha

So for today's picture I decided to take a shot of Marcus showing his Duck pride in his duck shirt waiting for the game to start.

I don't really let him watch TV but he does like watching football so I let him glance at the game every so often.

Currently the game is still going on and it's not looking good for Oregon. Its 19-11 in the 4th with 4:54 left. I guess anything can happen though.

Day 9

So I checked out my flickr page at my moms house and noticed the color difference! I forgot that all my editing might be off. I'm not calibrated but we do have a monitor that is pretty close. However we just moved and that monitor has not been unpacked yet so I'm working on our crappy old monitor so if my colors are way off that's why. I really hope they aren't so far off that I'll have to re-edit them before I print any.

Today was a fun day... Marcus was feeling better and we had fun playing. I was tired of grumpy pictures of Marcus so I laid him down and tickled him with my foot while I took a picture.

Day 8

All my pictures today are kinda just blah. I'm trying to pick out my best pictures to post on this blog and the rest go on my personal blog but really none I think are that great.

So I guess I'll pick these two. Another food one since the previous one was a little soft. And my DH playing with DS. I love to watch them interact :)

Day 7

Marcus was not only sick today but was extremely tired. I tried to do my best to get him to smile but he only would smile if the camera wasn't up to my face of course.
He had a pretty tough day though. I'm hoping he'll start feeling better so I can have my happy baby back again!

Day 6

No pictures of my baby boy today. I went to work and then afterward headed to my mom's salon where I got my hair done and after that I took some pictures of the salon stuff for my mom so she can add more pictures to her website.

Here are several of my favorites. Taking pictures of products and foods is harder than it looks. I took several of the 2nd shot but all of the ones I have look crooked. I'll have to try and straighten them up in PS tomorrow. I already tried and it didn't really work obviously,but it's late and I have to get to bed.
